Lake Charles, Louisiana – October 28, 2023 – Gospel Music Honors, a longstanding tradition of celebrating the best in Gospel music, is thrilled to announce its 2023 "Lake Area" Gospel Music Honors event. Set to take place on Saturday, December 9th at 5:47 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lake Charles, this annual gala is dedicated to recognizing and honoring outstanding contributors who have uplifted countless spirits through their melodic and powerful Gospel messages.

Since its inception in 1996, the Gospel Music Honors has been unwaveringly committed to its mission of celebrating local Gospel music trailblazers. Over the decades, it has become an esteemed platform where the soulful message of Gospel music and the passionate individuals behind it are brought to the limelight.

This year, the event will honor the invaluable contributions of individuals such as Pastor Shirley Williams Albert, Rosalyn Frank, Minister Trennis Ford, Nicholas Johnson, Connie Major, Josiah Simien, Duane Terry, and The Word of Hope Family Worship Center Worship and Arts Ministry, among others.
