“Be True To You” designed to encourage young people to embrace their unique purpose.
(Dallas) – In what is likely to be merely the first of many such appearances, Gospel singer Aliya Hall is listed on the newest edition of the iconic Billboard Music Chart. Her new single, “Be You,” is on the ‘Gospel Indicator Most Added’ list. In layman’s terms, that particular ‘charting’ means her song is gaining in popularity by being added to the playing rotation of more radio stations.
In Hebrew, the name Aliya means “to ascend” and so, her rise to the listing of America’s most popular music should really come as no surprise. Making it to the Billboard chart is the latest in a string of honors this year for the Northern California native. Aliya recently won “Song of the Year” honors at the 2018 Bay Area Awards. Also, she has been nominated in multiple categories for the 11th Prayze Factor Awards show.
“God is leading me along a path to glorify HIS name through my music,” says Aliya. She is studying both Music Theory and Business Administration at Los Medanos College in the Bay Area. And, is using her education in a ministry which now includes a special line of clothing called “Be True To You” designed to encourage young people to embrace their unique purpose.
Aliya released her first CD project entitled, “Great Praise” when she was only 16 years of age and her second CD, “Butterfly” at age 19.
Music critics have called her sound “fresh and relevant.” It is one firmly rooted in Christian Gospel but influenced by the R&B and Jazz genres.
Aliya recently joined two friends to sing at a wedding and the video of their performance has gone viral with over 3 million views so far.
The video of her new hit single, "Be You", is getting great critical reviews and interest -- with BGNTV Network, Touch The World TV Network, All NATIONS TV Network, and Stellar Awards winning Gospel Announcer Bobby Parker, have all added Aliya's video to their ‘play’ rotation.
